IALOP Trademark Enforcement Project Getting Good Results

April 5, 2020

The International Association of Licensed Online Pharmacies (IALOP) is happy to announce that its mission to fight against fake online pharmacies is making progress.

Since October 2019, we have been challenging websites that wrongfully use the IALOP Certification Mark. So far, more than 125 fake pharmacies have had to remove the fake IALOP seal or have had their websites completely shut down.

The IALOP Seal is a sign of professionalism, quality, honesty, and safety. It shows patients that an online pharmacy has met IALOP's tough safety standards. The IALOP Seal makes sure a customer knows they are dealing with a real, government-approved pharmacy that requires a valid prescription, protects personal medical and financial information, and has a licensed pharmacist ready to help.

"The fake sites we've confronted are tricking customers who are looking for cheaper alternatives to expensive U.S drugs on the internet," said IALOP President and General Manager Tim Smith. "We will keep fighting these deceitful operators to make sure that patients can safely buy from IALOP member websites, where we've had a perfect safety record for the past 5 years."
