The International Association of Licensed Online Pharmacies (IALOP) has been safely selling medicines online for 18 years without any problems. We think we help people who can't get or pay for their everyday prescription medicines.
We're totally against selling fentanyl and other opioids online. These dangerous drugs are causing a lot of harm, and they're often sold on websites and social media. We believe that selling these drugs online should be stopped right away. We're asking governments, tech platforms, and the ICANN community to act fast to stop online opioid sales.
Selling prescription medicines online can be safe and work well if it's done right, with safety rules and steps. We show this is true, and here's why:
We only sell medicines and regular treatments to people who have a valid prescription from a doctor. All the medicines are made legally and approved by the health authorities in their countries. IALOP members use their authorized pharmacies in Canada and also work with approved international pharmacies and checked delivery centers that send medicines straight to people.
We assist people who can't get, pay for, or trust the medicines in their area. We always keep patients' private information and contact details safe. At any time, patients can ask to talk with a certified pharmacist through our member companies.
For 18 years, our main focus has been keeping patients safe. So, we don't allow the sale of very addictive medicines that can be misused if a doctor doesn't properly prescribe and watch over their use. Companies in IALOP don't sell any controlled drugs, narcotics, or products that have pseudoephedrine.
We always fight against online scammers who trick people with lies and false promises. We tell the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre about fake pharmacies. This center is run by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and they look into and keep track of scams. We teach people on the internet how to find a safe online pharmacy. We stay focused on our goal to help many people who need medicines they can afford. People trust us as a reliable source of safe online pharmacies.
We continue to strongly support online access to medicines, but we believe safety is the most important thing. So, drugs like opioids and fentanyl should not be available online. By making them unavailable, we can take steps to help stop addiction that is destroying lives. We can't wait anymore - it's time to stop selling opioids online.
